The D.E.I. Council Intensive
Design and launch your organization’s strategic D.E.I. Council.
Applications open on August 3, 2021 and our next 2021 cohort starts September 8, 2021!
Does any of this sound familiar?
Googling resource after resource and calling friends in other organizations hoping that one of them will actually give you some real insight into how to actually build a strategic D.E.I. council.
Unsure how to create an inclusive and equitable process for identifying council members and participation across the organization.
Recognizing your council is spending all of its time celebrating holidays and cultural events and no time on identifying strategic D.E.I.priorities for the organization.
Suddenly being asked to lead the development of the D.E.I. council work in your organization and unsure what what to focus on in the first phase of the work.
Realizing members of the council are in varying places in their own personal D.EI. journeys and need all members to have the same core knowledge to progress critical conversations and decisions forward.
Nervous to figure out how to build a D.E.I. function that also is anti-racist and actively centers the voices of marginalized groups in your organization.
If any of these statements have you saying to yourself ” Yes, that’s us!”- keep reading, you’re in the right place!
How do I know this is the right place? Oh, I’ve been there!
And I can imagine that you’ve been feeling what I like to call the “starts and stops” of D.E.I. work in your organization for too long:
The feeling of starting to build a company D.E.I. statement but then suddenly stopping and never talking about what’s next.
The commitment to starting to work on diversifying your recruitment process but then stoping from trying to understand what else you should be focused on.
The work of starting to have the team participate in D.E.I. trainings but then stopping when you got to topics that made people uncomfortable to talk about.
The moment you started to hire support to help you build out your D.E.I. business function but then stopped because you weren’t sure what you really needed and if you could afford it.
Yes, I’ve been there.
You wish someone would just take your organization by the hand and guide you through a proven approach that will set your D.E.I. function up to have long-lasting change in your organization.
It’s time to stop searching for yet another starting point and finally build the D.E.I. infrastructure that will shift your organization to being anti-racist, inclusive, and committed to embedding this work into its business practices long-term.
The D.E.I. Council Intensive
A 12-week, hybrid live coaching and online training program designed to help you build or elevate your current D.E.I. council to a strategic, impactful leadership group.
Each module provides key trainings across 3 areas:
D.E.I. Program Structural Design
These sessions are designed to support you in building the foundational systems needed to build an intentionally strategic D.E.I. council.
D.E.I. Knowledge & Skill Building
These sessions are designed to support council members build their own knowledge and competency of core D.E.I. principles so that they can lead the team through internal sessions.
D.E.I. Culture Shift & Redesign
Almost all workplaces find hidden barriers that arise as they begin the work to shifting their own workplace to D.E.I. work. These sessions address how to proactively prepare and address the barriers so that they do not stop the progress of the work.
What’s included in the program structure:
Access to our full program and curriculum
This program is very intentionally designed to be a 6-month container, as it will allow us to help you build your D.E.I. council in a way that supports your organization’s broader strategic goals. This includes access to our full library of resources, templates, slides, and courses.
Weekly Live Group Coaching sessions with Dynasti & other Expert coaches
Live group coaching sessions are held for everyone during the middle of every month where you can bring your questions, ideas, and hurdles for feedback. For us, it’s not just about what you learn, it’s about what you actually do with what you learn that matters.
Weekly Review and Feedback on Your Work
Each week, you will submit your work for feedback and critique. This is where we actually look at the assets you’re creating from your statements to your strategic work plans and give you actionable, expert feedback on your copy, structure, strategy, and more.
Private Client-Only Community to learn alongside other organizations
Private community spaces to connect with, share your progress, and get ideas on how they are building out their D.E.I. council (all the way down to the name!) that you might want to incorporate into your own council. It’s also a great opportunity to find long-term thought partners to collaborate with.
Plus all Council Intensive members receive:

Imagine life after building a strategic D.E.I. Council for your organization…
- You’re clear with the vision and strategic goals for your council for the next 3 years.
- All council members feel they’ve received the proper education and support to guide the organization in the work going forward.
- The council is beyond just creating D.E.I. culture events on the calendar and integrated into strategic decisions being made to make the organization more equitable and inclusive.
- There is a clear council leader and decision making process for council ideas so that progress is not stalled.
- The council is an inclusive community that upholds values it will instill in the broader organization culture.
“Our company went through Dynasti Hunt’s Equity Accelerator and it gave us such a strong framework to explore how we can build a better business, that’s inclusive and equitable.
Everyone on the team was able to go through the materials, gain insights, and explore the topics each week. We experienced ah-ha moments, had uncomfortable discussions in a safe space, and learned so much.
Most importantly, we’re starting to implement and take action on the things that we learned in the Equity Accelerator, and we’re engaging in more focus groups and discussions with our clients and team members directly.
We’ve stopped making as many assumptions and we’re starting to ask more questions before we act. The Accelerator is going to have a lasting impact on our company, culture, and product.
I highly recommend Dynasti’s approach and programs, you won’t find anyone as caring or tapped into what matters for small businesses who want to build anti-racist equitable organizations.”
This is a Digital Program and Can be Done on Your Schedule, Anywhere in the world.
You can complete course lessons from the comfort of your office or virtual learning space, as long as you have an Internet connection!
This entire program is designed to be a digital experience so that you can access it and complete the modules on your schedule. This is also great if you know that you will have a peak business quarter during the year; you’ll have access for a full 6 months and can build your implementation plan based on non-peak times.
I (She/Her) believe that D.E.I. councils are an essential part of an organization’s ability to actually change and move ahead in their D.E.I. journey.
And yes, this is coming from a senior-level executive who was hired to build and lead D.E.I. functions for several organizations. The council was core to my own progress too. Why?
The council, if formed and positioned properly, is filled with the voices that we should be listening to, always. The voices of team members who’ve seen the good, bad, and ugly of the organization’s D.E.I. journey and have visibility into where inequities truly exist that leaders may have missed.
The council can also be an integral part into how things actually change for the better but this group must be supported, trained, and given the proper tools to drive the work forward, and not be positioned as a group that’s only good for leading cultural celebrations. These things matter yes but in the work that I’ve done, the council’s role is so much more. And it’s time organizations made sure the D.E.I. council is positioned to do the work that leads to transformational change.
Who is this for?
This is for you if…
- You haven’t yet started building your D.E.I. council in your organization but want to and are unclear where to start in building the foundation that will lead to the transformational change you are looking for.
- You’ve started your organization’s D.E.I. council and have created a commitment statement, engaged in some training, and even held a few meetings but aren’t sure where to go from here.
- You’ve been doing work with your council but are ready to move beyond only leading D.E.I. cultural celebrations and into making strategic decisions that will transform the D.EI. function.
- You’ve suddenly been identified as the D.E.I. leader for your council and while you’re invested in doing the work…you have no idea what the work really is and where to start.
You’re tired of trying to figure out on your own how to build your D.E.I. council into a strategic, impactful group within your organization.
It’s frustrating watching other organizations share how they’ve been progressing in their own journey and you’re constantly wondering what do they know that I don’t? What approach are they using that’s leading to meaningful change?
You’re feeling the impact of not having a council that is helping to realize transformational change in your company’s D.E.I. journey.
Let’s change this by submitting your application now.
When does it begin and end?
While applications are accepted on a rolling basis, we strongly urge applicants to apply immediately as varying bonuses are not always offered throughout the year.
Do I get lifetime access to the materials?
You’ll have 6-month access to the entire program from your enrollment date.
What is the time commitment per week?
2-4 hours/week, which includes reviewing training modules, joining live coaching calls (each will be recorded so that you can watch immediately after), and time to actually complete the assignments being given with your fellow council members. The intensive is about doing work so we’ll be asking you to submit your documents for feedback and review along the way.
We encourage organizations to develop a support plan for council participants so that they have enough time to complete the program in addition to their other business workload without pushed beyond capacity.
Are there any other material or equipment costs besides the enrollment cost of the course?
All participants should have access to the internet to be able to log-in.
Do I get support, community, or access to you?
Yes, through our weekly live group coaching calls, you’ll get access to myself and other expert coaches guiding you in this journey. And yes, that means 52 weeks of support!
What is the refund policy?
There are no refunds for the accelerator once the agreement is signed.
What’s the difference between this program and other offerings you have?
This program is our signature program and provides a full year of programming in support of building your entire DEI function.
The DEI Council Intensive is focused solely on the formation and build of the council and is provided for a 6-month period. It should be noted that many Intensive participants choose to enroll in the organization Accelerator afterward to continue the work and there are special discounts and bonuses for doing so within 6 months of completing the intensive.
The Shift Foundational Couse is an on-demand course that does not include group coaching, tools, templates, and access to our team.
You Might Be Thinking,
“This All Sounds Great But…”
“We’ve already started some of this work.”
That’s great and that means you’ll be able to jump right into some of the modules that help you to move from a statement to a full strategic plan. Often times though, we find that councils who’ve started this work even 3 or 4 years ago are often in a place of feeling stuck and our program helps to address and remove barriers in their way.
” We can’t afford to invest in D.E.I. work right now.”
Every business strategy that is a priority requires investment, often of time and money. If you’re truly ready for the shift, you’ll want to think about what investment are you willing to start with and how can a program that covers D.E.I. strategy, core business design, and training all in one be the starting place for your shift.
” Our whole team needs training in D.E.I. fundamentals.”
The intensive is designed to provide core knowledge as well as facilitation training and workshop templates to the program participants so that they can provide internal training to others on your team. Some teams also choose to purchase an organizational license to our foundational course, The Shift, to support the learning of team members not participating directly in the Accelerator.
